Northland Tractor Pull

The Tractor Pull is a recurring success each year, run over the three days.

The competitors provide their own tractor for the event. Speed is required while pulling a set of weights.

Located on Totalspan Alley, this competition tests the skills of operators in selecting the best combination of tyre, tyre pressure, drawbar height, drawbar length, gear ratio and engine RPM, to obtain the best pulling speed over a measured distance.

Any sort of tractor will do, as long as it is a standard agricultural tractor with PTO output between 25-132kw (30-180hp).

Scientifically calibrated sledges are weighted according to the power output of the tractor used.

In the event of either of the tractor front wheels leaving the ground during the pull the entrant will be disqualified during the heats or relegated during the finals.

Each competitor will have the opportunity to compete in the 3-tractor competition.

This is where you get to drive 3 different sized tractors and the best time out of all three carries on to a final play off with cash prize and gift vouchers.  Entry forms can be obtained from the HQ Office on site, Ph: 09 439 8998.
